Slow Cooker Cheesy Crack Chicken
A creamy, cheesy, bacon-loaded slow cooker chicken dish that’s perfect for meal prep, sandwiches, rice bowls, or just eating straight from the bowl.

- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 8 oz blocks cream cheese, softened
- 1 packet 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions or parsley (optional)
- Optional: ¼–½ cup chicken broth for a thinner sauce
Layer the chicken: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the top.
Add cream cheese: Cut the cream cheese into chunks and place over the seasoned chicken.
Cook low and slow: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked through.
Shred the chicken: Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the crockpot. Stir everything to combine.
Stir in the cheddar: Add the shredded cheddar cheese and mix until melted and creamy. Cook for another 15–20 minutes.
Add bacon and garnish: Just before serving, sprinkle with chopped bacon and green onions or parsley.
Serve warm: Spoon over rice, pasta, potatoes, or enjoy as is.
